Connectivity Reimagined

Founded by students, for students.

All of us on the Brave team have too many friends with a sexual assault story, if not one of our own. We founded Brave to enhance student life so that we can all stay connected with our friends when going out.

Whether you attend music festivals, college parties, raves, clubs, or bars, you deserve to not have to worry about yourself or your friends experiencing violence.

The Problem:

According to Indiana University News Room:

“Parties are a common site of sexual assault on college campuses. As many as 1 in 4 women experience unwanted sexual intercourse while attending college in the United States, and many of these incidents happen at or after parties.”

At Brave, we are designing a tool students can use to stay connected with their friends.

Brave incorporated in March, but we have already reached significant milestones:

  • We have student beta testers, spanning from the University of Southern California to the University of Rochester to Harvard.

  • We are cultivating a passionate community on social media to highlight what being Brave means to us.

  • We have been highlighted in the Daily Trojan, featured in the Troy Labs Demo Day at the University of Southern California, and interviewed by Fox 11 Los Angeles.

  • We are working with many universities and potential corporate partners to ensure a more accessible and inclusive experience for all users.

  • We are collaborating with and receiving guidance from notable CEOs, COOs, CTOs, and CFOs of major companies worldwide.

Our missions at Brave are to:

  • Give college students more confidence, connectivity, and instant access to their support network via our discreet smart bracelet technology.

    • Your entire network, set up in the Brave app, is only two taps away from being alerted that you need help.

  • Give parents the peace of mind that their children are safe, no matter how far away they are.

    • Even if your family doesn’t have a Braveband, they can still receive an instant notification and your precise location on their mobile device when you activate your Braveband.

  • Gather enough data to see how Brave is helping to prevent sexual violence by measuring sexual assault statistics on college campuses.

  • Change the culture of “going out” during college to be more inclusive and safe

  • Distribute Bravebands directly to universities so that students can stay safe at zero cost!
